The Oak Hill Golden Eagles turned a heated county rivalry into a statement performance Friday night, routing Mississinewa 45–16. From the opening tip, Graham Arrendale set the tone with a deep triple, and Matthew Lawson powered home two early layups to grab a 7–2 lead after one. The second quarter was all Golden Eagles pressure. Their signature 2-2-1 press wreaked havoc, forcing turnover after turnover. Arrendale splashed another three and went 4-for-4 at the line, while Corey Templin and Lawson cashed in buckets off steals, pushing the halftime margin to 21–5. The third quarter was pure domination. Arrendale erupted for eight points, Tytan Ott and Templin added four each, and the defense suffocated the Indians, holding them to just four points. Oak Hill carried a commanding 37–9 lead into the fourth. With the game well in hand, the Golden Eagles coasted to the finish, adding eight more while Cristian Pavey chipped in a bucket for good measure. Defense told the story: Oak Hill’s relentless full-court pressure and effort turned a rivalry night into a celebration. Arrendale led all scorers with a monster 22 points, Templin added 9, Lawson 8, Ott 4, and Pavey 2 in the blowout win. The Golden Eagles move to 4-1 and carry serious momentum into their next test: Saturday at Maconaquah, tip-off 5:00 p.m.
