Oak Hill High School

The OHXC Lady Eagles competed Saturday in the 44th Annual Culver Academy Invitational. It is one of the largest and most prestigious invites held yearly in the State. Saturday the Class 2a #5 ranked Lady Eagles were competing in the Small School Closed Division which featured 36 schools but were doing so extremely undermanned as the Lady's Top 3 runners Quinn Brunner, Lilly Hunt, and Rossi Skinner all sat out the event to rest. Despite all that the Lady Eagles still managed to compete well and post a Top 10 finish taking 9th with 243 points. A pair of underclassmen led the way for the ladies with Sophomore Shelby Hollingsworth and Freshman Lucy Devers posting strong runs just missing Top 30 Podium Medals in 32nd and 33rd. Hollingsworth ran a 22:38 while Devers recorded a 22:39. Freshman Verity Bishop was a solid 62nd while Senior Lilly Snyder was 74th. Sophomore Izzy Ybarra and Freshman Brooklyn Young rounded out the varsity in 103rd and 145th. The Lady Eagles compete in the Central Indiana Conference Championship meet next Saturday October 3rd at Indiana Wesleyan.
