The OHTF Golden Eagles managed to win 11 of 16 events Tuesday Night including a combined 12 wins by Senior Athletes on Senior Night in wins over Alexandria and Mississinewa. The Golden Eagles totaled 92 points while Mississinewa was 2nd with 57 and Alexandria 3rd with 17. On the night five Golden Eagle Seniors managed to grab multiple wins competing on their home track for the last time. Morshown Cotton posted wins in the 100 Meter Dash and as part of the winning 4x100 Meter Relay. Reese Hernandez and Seth David joined Cotton on the 4x1 a long with Freshman Jesse Zwirn. Hernandez addedhis 2nd win in the 200 Meter Dash. Senior Micah McKinney took 1st in the 300 Meter Hurdles and as part of the 4x400 Meter Relay. Joining him on the relay was classmate Owen Middlesworth and Junior Marc Caritos along with Freshman Christian Smiley. Middlesworth earned his other 1st in the 4x800 Meter Relay He was joined by classmate Owen Roth on the relay along with Smiley and Senior Lance Wyrick. Other wins by Seniors on Tuesday were Drew Elzinga in the 110 Meter Hurdles and Roth in the 3200 Meter Run. Underclassmen individual wins came from Junior Corban Tippey in the 800 Meter Run along with Sophomores Luke Elzinga in the Long Jump and Kyle Brower in the Pole Vault, and finally Freshman Josh Clark in the 1600 Meter Run. Runner Up finishes on the night came from David in the 100 behind Cotton and Long Jump behind Elzinga, Freshman Bret Hueston in the 1600 behind Clark and in the 3200 behind Roth, as well as Caritos in the 400 Meter Dash. Zwirn took 2nd in the 200 behind Hernandez, and Junior Thane Jones grabbed a 2nd in the Shot Put. The Golden Eagles compete Friday May 9th in the Central Indiana Conference at Mississinewa.
