OHJHXC Earns Pair of Top 10 Team Finishes at near 20 Team South Adams Invite - Blair Wins Sets Another Course / Meet Record

The OHXC Junior High squads concluded a strong week earning a pair of Top 10 Team Finsihes at Saturday's 18 School South Adams Invitational. Both teams won four way meets earlier in the week. Saturday the boys took 6th while the girls were 7th. The highlight of the day was Golden Eagle 8th Grader winning the individual title in the boys race and for the 4th straight weekend set a new meet and course record in the process. After setting records at Oak Hill, IWU, and Maconaquah over the last three weeks, Blair who has the three fastest 3k times in the state for a Junior High athlete this fall ran a 9:32 for the win. In all the boys and girls combined to have 8 athletes earn Top 50 finishes. Behind Blair's win the boys had 8th grader Keaton Vetor in 28th just missing the Top 25 Podium. Classmate Colson Woodard was 46th while 7th grader Ellison Beights was 48th. On the girls side 8th graders Verity Bishop and Lucy Devers just missed the Top 25 Podium in 26th and 27th. Joining them in the Top 50 were 6th graders Lakyn Blair in 40th and Brooklyn Bollhoeffer in 44th. Both teams are back in action Tuesday September 23rd at Mississinewa competing in the Grant 4 Championship. They will double up competing next Saturday September 27th in the New Haven Classic.
