OHXC Lady Eagles Win Back to Back Grant 4 Titles Behind 6 Top 10 Finishers - Travis Wins & Brunner Takes Runner Up

The OHXC Lady Eagles placed 6 runners in the Top 10 and were led by a 1-2 finish up front to score an impressively low 22 points winning their 2nd straight Grant 4 Championship. In all it was the 11th time in the last 13 years the Lady Eagles brought home the Grant 4 hardware. The Gol Lady Eagles are ranked 7th in the latest Class 1a-2a combined computer rankings. Senior Lady Eagle Biruk Travis was the Individual Grant 4 Champion for the 2nd time in her career followed by Junior Quinn Brunner who took Runner Up Honors. The 1-2 duo combined with 4 other Lady Eagle All County Top 10 Performances to help the ladies out pace Mississinewa in 2nd with 54 points and Eastbrook in 3rd with 57. Travis having also won in 2022 made it 13 times in the last 15 seasons a Lady Eagle took home the Grant 4 individual title. While Travis and Brunner earned Top 3 Podium Medalist Honors, joining them in the Top 10 and on the All County Team were Sophomores Rossi Skinner and Lilly Hunt who went 5th and 6th along with Senior Sophia Rowland in 8th and Junior Lilly Snyder in 10th. Senior Kaitlyn Scalf just missed the Top 10 coming in 11th after battling in a Top 10 pack all race. Joining Scalf in the Top 20 were Senior Lydia Trexler in 18th and Freshman Izzy Ybarra in 19th. The Lady Eagles are back in action this Saturday September 27th competing in the New Haven Classic at Huntington University.
