OHJHXC Teams Both Take Runner Up Honors at Grant 4 - Blair Wins While Bishop Takes 3rd

Both OHJHXC Teams competed well at Tuesday's annual Grant 4 Championship grabbing strong Runner Up finishes. The boys were led by 8th grader Brantley Blair who won the individual title by over a minute in one of the fastest winning Grant 4 times ever in 10:11 (possibly the fastest). Blair remains undefeated on the season and has recorded the fastest 3 times in the state by a Junior High athlete this fall. The boys took 2nd with 37 points trailing winner Eastbrook who finished with 20 points. In all the boys had 3 Top 10 Finishers and 7 Top 15. Coming in behind Blair in the Top 10 were classmates Colson Woodard in 7th and Keaton Vetor in 8th. Additional Top 15 finishers were 7th grader Ellison Beights in 12th, 8th grader Bryson Losure in 13th, 7th grader Griffin Boswell in 14th, and 6th grader Asher Bowlin in 15th. The girls were led by a tough Top 3 finish from 8th grader Verity Bishop in 3rd. The girls took 2nd overall behind Eastbrook 21-37. Joining Bishop in the Top 10 were 6th grader Lakyn Blair who had a very good run to take 6th followed closely by 8th grader Lucy Devers in 7th. Additional Top 15 finishers were 6th grader Brooklyn Bollhoefer in 11th, 7th grader Booklyn Disney in 13th, and 6th grader Kelly Grant in 15th. Both JHXC teams compete again this Saturday September 27th in the New Haven Classic held at Huntington University.
