OHXC Lady Eagles Earn Strong Top 5 Podium Finish at New Haven Classic - Travis & Brunner Finish To 15

The OHXC Lady Eagles put together a solid run Saturday on the Huntington University IHSAA Super Regional Course finishing 5th overall in their respective division of the New Haven Classic. The Top 5 Teams earn a place on the awards podium. The Lady Eagles were competing in the 16 Team AA Division comprised mostly of larger Class 3a schools. The Lady Eagles scored 137 points trailing only larger schools. Senior Biruk Travis fresh off her Grant 4 Championship led the way with a very strong 7th place. Junior Quinn Brunner moved up the field late to get 15th overall also earning a Top 40 Medal. Joining Travis and Brunner in the Top 40 and bringing home hardware was Sophomore Rossi Skinner in 32nd. Sophomore Lilly Hunt just missed the Top 40 medals in 44th while Senior Kaitlyn Scalf had a very good run to round out the scoring Top 5 in 48th. The Varsity Top 7 was completed by Senior Sophia Rowland in 56th and Senior Lydia Trexler in 97th. The Lady Eagles who are currently ranked 7th in the latest combined Class 1a-2a State Rankings has a record of 110-9 since August 12th. The Lady Eagles are back in action competing for a Central Indiana Conference title next Saturday October 4th at Indiana Wesleyan University.
