OHJHXC Gets a Pair of Wins Over Marion - Woodard Wins Boys Race

Both OHJHXC squads earned wins Tuesday at home against Marion. It was the last regular season event for both teams before this weekend's Central Indiana Conference Championship Meet. The boys won 19-36 while the girls won 21-39. The boys were led by 8th grader Colson Woodard who won the race in 12:15. He was followed closely behind for a 1-2-3 finish by classmate Keaton Vetor in 2nd and 7th grader Ellison Beights in 3rd. 6th grader Asher Bowlin in 5th and 7th grader Griffin Boswell in 8th rounded out the Top 5 scorers. The Varsity Top 7 also included 6th grader Ripley Roark and 8th grader Mason Brown in 12th and 13th respectively. The girls were led by a 2-3-4-5 finish from 8th grader Verity Bishop, 6th grader Lakyn Blair, 8th grader Lucy Devers, and 6th grader Brooklyn Bollhoeffer. 7th grader Brooklyn Disney was the 5th and final scorer in 7th. The Varsity Top 7 also included 7th grader Audie Koontz and 6th grader Kelly Grant in 8th and 10th respectively. Both teams close out their season competing at IWU this Saturday October 4th in the Central Indiana Conference Championship. 8th grader Brantley Blair will be competing on the same day in Terre Haute in the Indiana Middle School State Championships.
